Bears with feet burned in the Thomas fire were healed quicker by wrapping tilapia skin around the feet. Apparently the skin is high in collagen which speeds up the healing process.

On a side note this got me thinking. What animal would I/you be willing to kill to save another? (don't include invasive species) A fish for a bear seems like an easy choice. My guess is that it comes down to emotional (not pet) attachments.
