The drivers all seem to be giving according to their abilities.

Women's needs are presumably the same as men's.

Since no one opposes this pay gap, I take it the doctrine above has been discarded even by the left.

Here's the thing: in the OP you gave two reasons for the gender pay gap in Uber that seemed to be rooted in non-gendered issues, experience and speed; there is no reason to believe that women can't find ways to compensate for them, given enough time. Maybe they can learn to drive faster or stick with it longer. It's not outside the realm of possibility to think the women can do better.
