Indeed. What else would be the point with all the schisms?
If everyone who stays and everyone who goes in whatever their latest brouhaha over different interpretations of Scripture is still guaranteed a spot in heaven, what's with all the angst, hard feelings and drama that goes along with a schism?
And while they are a bit more tame these days, in the past it wasn't that unusual for violence to erupt. Hasn't been all that long ago Protestants and Catholics were bombing and shooting each other in Derry. Perfecting their segregation (instead of integrating) seems to have done the trick for them. Not sure how anyone could look at that mess and say they are all together with Christ . . . .
