Sorry tl;dr... (I read like half of it). Do you want to have an honest conversation about the foundations of knowledge, buddy? I will participate if you cease all fiery accusations of vulgarity.
You and I actually agree: putting FAITH into science is a BAD IDEA. The good thing is, science doesn't work by faith. It works by DEMONSTRATION. It looks for PROOF!
Once you have proof... no faith is required.
But how do you go about looking for proof? The first thing to do is admit that you don't know. You see, guys who come here claiming that THEY know more than cosmologists about the beginnings of the cosmos strike me as people who are unwilling to admit gaps in their knowledge.
Scientists don't claim knowledge that they don't have. Religious fanatics do... but scientists don't. Scientists admit gaps in their knowledge. You might want to try it sometime.
I don't think you understand the essence of Feinman's quote. You don't understand that the first step in genuine inquiry is admitting you don't know.
The Bible says God makes the rain fall. Do you think scientists were able to learn about the water cycle by taking the Bible's word on things? NO! They started with this: "I don't know. I need to gather evidence." By following their "ignorance" they were able to actually discern how the water cycle actually works. (Spoiler alert: God does not make the rain fall from the sky. Water evaporates into clouds, cools down, then falls as rain-- thank you, science.)
