Anti Trans Bathroom Law Proganada is Kind Of Misandrist

It's rather obvious that both the creators and supporters of these laws have not thought the issue through. If these laws were deemed constitutional and enforced universally (which is what these fucking assholes want) the result would be their young sons eventually winding up in a bathroom with someone like  this:



Can you imagine the shit storm at the local Walmart if Pious Priss, the evangelical queen saw the above person go into the men's room after her little Johnny went in? But, it's the only bathroom available for this person thanks to the "good work" of Pious Priss and her husband Preacher Pete.

I kinda don't want them to think through the issue, though.  Which might sound weird, but let me explain.

Right now, they think they want goofy laws legislating what toilet I use, but only from a distance.  People who know me, who meet me, who interact with me, none of them have any problem with me using the womens room.  I with in an office where most of my coworkers are female and none of them show any discomfort towards me using the womens room.  However, back early on in transition, I did attempt to use the men's room..... and people were actually uncomfortable with it.  Truth is, I just go with the restroom of least resistance, despite the fact that I'm technically breaking the law.  And if people actually thought about the reality of Buck Angel using the women's room or Jamie Clayton using the men's room, it blurs things.

The reality is that these bathroom bills are just an extension of the unfortunate feelings they have for us all: they just want trans people to go away.  And I can't help but think, if they start to realize trying to legislate bathrooms is silly, they might try passing other, more hurtful laws.  For example, it's legal for a paramedic to refuse to treat me because I'm trans and that actually scares me more.  It also scares me that, if I ever have to go to jail, I'll be in the mens jail and I don't think that will go very well.  

These bathroom bills are silly and stupid and shouldn't be there, but there are worse, scarier laws out there.
