What you ask is not for them to integrate into western culture, which they do well enough if they have no problems speaking with you or follow the conventions of western culture where that makes a difference. What you ask is for them to adopt western culture wholesale even amongst themselves.
The reason why they do not adopt wholesale may be that learned as much from western culture as is worth learning, and were not overly impressed?
