Ran into another Food Nazi just now.

This time was on FB. Shell and I have agreed here long ago, over personal tastes. This post isn't about Shell, other than I like that people agree we are different in tastes. I really do get that people like things I don't like, and that is fine, because we all have different food tastes. This food Nazi acted like it was a death penalty case because they didn't like pineapple on pizza. Ok, and? I get nausea from the smell of anchovies. Does that mean others cant eat anchovies? NO! If you like anchovies have at it.
A few years back my mother and I went into a small upscale Italian bistro, the owner also acting as wait staff acted like I had murdered his family for asking for my steak to be well done and had an even worse reaction when I asked for Heinz 57. First off you fuckface, I am eating it, NOT YOU. Secondly fuckface, I am also paying for it.
It is food, and every individual likes what they like, and don't like what they don't like, and there is no right or wrong on food, outside properly cooking it so it doesn't make you physically sick.
You like your steak rare, great, have at it, you like pineapple on pizza, have at it. You(Not talking about Shell, but anyone in general) like broccoli and I don't. But please, when anyone acts like certain foods are a crime punishable by death, yea, that is a pet peeve of mine.
I do get a lip twitch when someone says, "What's wrong with you?" on this issue. Nothing wrong with liking or not liking a certain food.

Not long ago, I was doing our weekly marketing, and the woman behind me at check out whispered to her friend, 'Gee, that guy is buying a lot of meat.' Never one to shy away from nosey parkers, I turned and said you her, 'You know what else it's a lot of? A lot of none of your goddamed business, that's what.'
I agree, Brian - if people want to live on soya protein and sprouts, it isn't anyone's business but their own. Likewise, if I like to eat carefully selected bits of herbivores, that's my own bloody (no pun intended) business.

Good for you!
There are good arguments to eat or not eat something, but not merely on taste. Just like if you drink too much you can damage your liver, but mere drinking won't kill you. As long as you store the food properly and cook it properly so that it doesn't make you sick, I agree, it isn't anybody's fucking business.
A long time ago, I cleaned the house of my landlord to get a break on my rent. He made me a crab meat sandwich but questioned why I didn't want my bread toasted or mayo on it. I simply said "Because I don't".
How hard is that for anyone to understand?

I have Celiac disease, so, by necessity I'm a food ethnic cleanser. lol
But I encourage others to eat healthy amounts of wheat, malt and barley. If they want to.

I tried making an all-vegan meal once, but there just wasn't enough meat on them.

If you mean in liquid beer form, I am with you. But, even then, there is still a risk of over doing it. That still does not change that America's prohibition was a stupid idea.
You can argue, "that is not a good idea" without being a Nazi. On any subject, not just food, but any, for me it is about good logic and bad logic. If you are saying "I don't like it so others cant" I could care less what the reasoning is if that is all you are basing it on.
Having said that, the only reason you have assholes who argue over food tastes are mostly those who want to confuse marketing with right or wrong to increase product price.
There is a good argument to argue against the price of caviar, taste isn't the issue. Just like it would be harder to sell pork if you called it "pig ass". Some people like bull testicles, ok great, have at it, but there is still a reason they call them Rocky Mountain oysters instead of bull sperm factories.

Ha ha ha that's just wrong, Dave Shapel and South Park right, but still HA HA HA wrong. Mel Brooks might laugh and wag his finger at you at the same time. Reminds me of the episode of Big Bang Theory where Raj reminded Howard, being a Jew that he's eaten pork and in other episodes Howard reminds Raj he's eaten beef.
