Hey! You stole StatlerWaldorf's sig! And it's a poorly constructed strawman, btw.
Quote:Something can't come from nothing.
I agree! But isn't that YOUR position? That some magical man created the universe and everything in it out of nothing? Because I've never seen an atheist claim that the universe came from nothing.
Quote:Look at the complexity and design of the vast universe we live in, do you think this all happened by chance?
All the things necessary for life were available on this planet (abundant water, an atmosphere, a source of light and heat that wasn't too close or too far away, etc...). Why are people surprised that life would arise when everything needed for it is there?
Quote:"Atheism is so senseless. When I look at the solar system, I see the earth at the right distance from the sun to receive the proper amounts of heat and light. This did not happen by chance."- Sir Isaac Newton
Even if Newton said this, so what?
Quote:I don't know for sure that a creator exists, but I think it is likely, over 50 percent at least.
I think it's over 50% likely that you're a brainwashed religious zealot who has been indoctrinated to believe this bullshit since you were a kid.
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.
God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?
