Look at the complexity and design of the vast universe we live in, do you think this all happened by chance?

All the things necessary for life were available on this planet (abundant water, an atmosphere, a source of light and heat that wasn't too close or too far away, etc...). Why are people surprised that life would arise when everything needed for it is there?
