I have read the gospels and I was not impressed. Especially this story. A pregnant teenage girl in iron age Palestine states she is a virgin and is pregnant with god's son. Come on now! If a teenage girl said that today, only the most gullible would believe it. Why should any one believe this now?

 really you have read the Gospels, you gave no sign of that in your previous post. In the days of Jesus and even before women married as teenagers. Most parents were poor and a girl was a burden financially and were used to gain financially from the groom, so you see teenage girls were marrying men usually in their twenties. These girls were much more mature than the silly girls of today, they worked from the time they were small till the time they left home. Why would Mary lie about this and how could she have known Jesus would have been such a force in that day if she was concocting a lie.

First , I do not believe Jesus or Mary were anything but myths. Second, hmm, an unmarried pregnant teenage girl in iron age Palestine best come up with a story fast. Lest the godly people crush her young body with a hail of stones.
