"Spokesman" is a stupid word. We are not collectively a business, we are not collectively a lobby, we are not collectively a political party, we are not collectively a religion, we are not collectively a economic view.
We are diverse in our views so if you want to know what an atheist thinks on a specific topic, you have to ask that individual atheist.
A better word might be "personality". I like Dawkins for his work, but personally I think he is too much of a stuffed shirt. I like Christopher Hitchens, but he was a bit of a warhawk. I like Sam Harris, but I get a severe lip twitch when he starts peddling Buddhism.
I like Neil Degrasse Tyson too. Ayaan Hersi Ali is one tough lady, but I really don't know anything about her economic views. I like stage illusionist Penn, of Penn and Teller, but I hate his libertarian economic views.
The only thing atheists have in common is "off" on God/god/s/deity/super natural claims. Outside that we are just as diverse in our educations, classes and nationalities and former religions.
