You're probably gone, but I'll chime in anyhow. Like M1 and likely some others on ere, I am disabled. Sorry I keep talking about it so publicly lately, but sometimes I think it's relevant. I have thoracic level spina bifida. It is incomplete, so I can walk with crutches, and have feeling, and...well...never mind.
I hate to think you're giving up on us all. Most of us are atheist. A few aren't. And I'm not the only the disabled person here. M1 has some wonderful posts on here. You have potential friends if you meet us all part way. Like I suggested earlier, maybe do an intro thread. Tell us about you. The more facts relevant to your gripes on this thread, the better.
You rely on your parents for rides, if I understand correctly. I use mainline transit busses, and am also signed up for my local paratransit (also run by the transit district). I do ride with my parents for certain things, but that's more family time than anything. Can you explore your public transit options? Or some non-profit ride-providers? That alone might diffuse some tension. You won't have to be around your mother so much. That exact think is rather important to me, since my mother and I haven't had the best history either (not religious issues, thank gawsh).
