I think one of lowest points you can reach, is when you strawman's God's potential explanation to why he did something, because in truth it's not God being asked about why he did something, it's us being asked about it, and how we understand it, and so we are being asked about his actions in the sense "what do you make of them".
God if he exists, can't be questioned of what he does, it's rather us, being questioned about how we understand what he does what he does.
