You;ve never read it...have you...lol?

I read it one time cover to cover and I study it all the time.

Yet you can't even interpret it correctly. 

  My mother taught me from the Bible when I was 3 years old. 

So, indoctrination. If your mother taught you Islam, you would be believing that and reading the Quran instead.

  I went to Catholic high school. I was born and raised Christian. 

That's part of the problem, right there. 

  I almost turned into a deist before returning to Christianity at one point.  As a child I was almost swayed aside as well by an older friend who was an atheist.  I always came back to the Lord.

So you decided to toss out logic and reason for a magical sky daddy who you think will comfort you in your time of need? 
Fine for you, but stop trying to represent your religion as something that makes sense. God wasn't responsible for anything that can be proven. Further - you insult the scientific community when you try to equate your stupid religion with scientific facts.
