Lesson two - your message should speak to your crowd. Theres certainly no dearth of material to work with, what convinces you may not convince another.
Atheists like to use science as there reasoning for disbelief commonly. So that is the playing field I brought this argument to. I believe science proves the existence of a Creator. What message would you bring to this crowd that you think would be more successful?
Lesson three ; never lie for christ. It;s counterproductive.
