This is why one protestant group may employ counter-cult ministries against other protestant sects..or catholicism. I think that it;s ironic, that everyone in every cult thinks that everyone else is in a cult...and they;re all completely right about that.
The cults in Egyptian religion is unlike the sects of Christianity. The cults in Egyptian religion puts particular emphasis the seeking of particular favor from one demi-god or deity or another, but does not deny or minimize other dirties or Demi-gods in the pantheon. There is not necessarily any doctrinal conflict between sects. The might be compared to the cult of various saints in Roman Catholicism.
Christian sects are in doctrinal conflict with each other. The Egyptian counterpart might be the worship of Atan under Akanatan vs the worship of classical Egyptian pantheon including the likes of Horus, Ammon and Isis.
