Psh, I have the super-ultimate reality, that encompasses all of the disparate ultimate realities.

According to some sources, the difference between a religion and a cult is that the figure of worship in a cult is a living human. Other than that, they're the same.

So Christianity doesn’t even rise to the status of a cult, but dearly wishes to ascend to the status of a cult by dreaming about their figure of worship becoming a living human again.

There's an easy way to remember the difference. Christianity is a religion. Each sect of christianity is a cult. The same is true of other faiths. Take egyptian religion (since it;s been in thread). Theres the total body of that faith..and then the cult of set, the cult of isis, etc.
This is why one protestant group may employ counter-cult ministries against other protestant sects..or catholicism. I think that it;s ironic, that everyone in every cult thinks that everyone else is in a cult...and they;re all completely right about that.

The cults in Egyptian religion is unlike the sects of Christianity. The cults in Egyptian religion puts particular emphasis the seeking of particular favor from one demi-god or deity or another, but does not deny or minimize other dirties or Demi-gods in the pantheon. There is not necessarily any doctrinal conflict between sects. The might be compared to the cult of various saints in Roman Catholicism.
Christian sects are in doctrinal conflict with each other. The Egyptian counterpart might be the worship of Atan under Akanatan vs the worship of classical Egyptian pantheon including the likes of Horus, Ammon and Isis.
