I believe that when we eventually die, neither of us will know anything at all. I do not believe in life after death, because I do not believe in a "mind" or a "self" that is independent of the physical body.
Neuroscience backs me up on this: After brain waves slow to a certain level, we become unconscious; in fact, we don't even dream. Now imagine what happens when the brain dies and stops producing any waveforms at all. Where is our consciousness? Where is our self? Where are our memories and beliefs? I think they're gone forever.
