I know what you meant by that, but i don't even think he reached that lofty high (for him) as soon as the assertion of design, god or intelligence is mentioned, it's simply not science anymore. he won't understand why that is a problem though, heck ten years ago i would have even agreed with him, it's amazing how much clearer things become when you don't pre-suppose a god to attach your 'don't know's' to.
It's about functional highly sophisticated information always coming from an intelligence. It's not about a bunch of don't knows-not act
