One the contradictions I use to believe and prevented me from realizing Quran is from God is the notion God would not talk to disbelievers or ask them about their sins with the notion he will question them and talk to them.
A clear contradiction till you realize simple angles (directly) and (through the witnesses). So God won't talk directly to disbelievers. But he will talk to them through the witness from the people of their time.
And while God won't really be seeking answers with questions in that sense, he will be questioning in a way that are rhetorical (not really questions) to display that disbelievers even testify against themselves as it says in another verse "sufficient are you today as a witness against yourself".
That was a contradiction that I thought there was no solution, till, I understood different angles, and all that. It's the same with verse "All (good and evil) is from God", that is followed with " Whatever good comes to you is from God and whatever evil is from yourself", they are both true, but different angles.
