What is your problem with Islam? Think about it

If so do you find it odd that your mind blocked out what the definition of the word "all" means and how it's used in English in order for you to continue believing the quran has no contradictions?

Because I don't actually believe I was teaching you the definition of the word "all" when I posted it there, I think you already knew it, but you just didn't want to know it.

"Taught me"?

You actually thought that you "taught me"?
I don't apologize this time; but it's you that blocked the information, in either explanations the verse had no contradiction, and I take it that if one road is blocked; the other is open.

So if one explanation indicates contradiction, there's another explanation that doesn't suggest contradiction at all.

Let's see a dictionary different than the one you posted from:

Quote:all
ɔːl/
predeterminer, determiner, & pronoun
determiner: all; pronoun: all
1.
used to refer to the whole quantity or extent of a particular group or thing.
"all the people I met"
synonyms:
each of, each one of the, every one of the, every single one of the;
every, each and every, every single
"all the children went"

the whole of the, every bit of the, the complete, the entire, the totality of the;
in its entirety
"the sun shone all week"

complete, entire, total, full, utter, perfect, all-out, greatest (possible), maximum
"in all honesty"

everyone, everybody, each/every person, the (whole) lot
"all are welcome"

each one, each thing, the sum, the total, the whole lot
"all of the cups were broken"

everything, every part, the whole amount, the total amount, the (whole) lot, the entirety, the sum total, the aggregate
"they took all of it"

This is from google.
?Where is the meaning you put? I don't see "exception" being a part of any of the above; what you did was cherry picking of a meaning that serves your bias: i.e what you're accusing me of doing.

I provided 2 possible meanings and explanations for the verse. It's up to the reader to choose what they see better.
