John 7:42 says, “Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem, where David was?”
From seed of David. Matthew 1 1-17 gives a historical account of the genealogy Abraham to David to the Babylonian exile to Jesus Christ. 14 generations between each one. These are the type of things Christians base their faith on. And there are many more prophecies and fulfillment apart from these two.
#1 the messiah had to be a decendant of David and number two he had to be born in Bethlehem.
