There was nothing veiled about what I said either, it was direct, I do not need to hide behind anything for I have the God of heaven on my side and it would be an injustice to not tell people about an eternal punishment. It bothers you that there is that possibility and you know it, if not you wouldn't get bent out of shape when it's mentioned. There are dark forces at work in this world, forces that you can't control, but they will control you as long as you stay naive.

And yet, oddly enough, you're the one who keeps bringing it up, even when it has no relevance to the discussion at hand.
For what it's worth, I find it both funny and sad that you continually resort to shaking your God stick at the poor pagans every time you're at a loss for a response.
You choose to bring it up, GC, and it's damn hard to excuse when it's so blatantly off-topic as this case was. So, no, you're not fooling anyone.
First off who says I did not respond with the correct answer, you lack any understanding of what God is doing so it can't be you and all the other atheist do not believe in a God so they can't. I do what I feel like needs to be said and if you do not like it just quit reading my post, put me on ignore. I've never tried to fool anyone here I say out right what I believe and have always been consistent in what I say.

I have no problem living with telling people about hell, it's the most horrible place anyone could be and I believe it would be dishonest to not warn people.
There is no Hell. There is no evidence of it and no reason to even suggest it even exists. And if it did exist it would violate the laws of thermodynamics. And all you have to say otherwise is a magic book that is a claim and not evidence. So why should I listen to you?
You sound so sure there is no hell, just how can you possibly know there is no hell. Thermodynamics has nothing to do with hell, thermodynamics is a reality of this universe not hell. God says hell is so separated from everything else that nothing can ever breach the cavern. It will be so far removed no one will even know it exists after the new creation. By the way if the Bible is so magic why is it you have never learned from it, seem to me people would want to learn from a book of magic.

Is their ignorance of a tsunami and what it will do a reason to leave them standing there to find out on their own. Wouldn't it be better to save the few who might listen than let all suffer the ravages of the tsunami.
Mathilda Wrote:The analogy fails because there is evidence of tsunamis, both geological and recorded on camera. The process is understood as well as the causes of them. Tsunamis are not implausible and do not violate physical laws.
Of course they are real, but I was referring to people who did not know they are real. So the analogy is spot on, you just avoid answering the question for what ever reason you sold yourself on and it wasn't a valid reason either because the analogy works quit well. So are you going to answer of pretend the analogy doesn't exist because a Christian presented it. Just how do you think hell violates physical laws, you do not even know what it is nor how it exists.

Mathilda Wrote:Same goes for the Quran. Or the Norse myths. Or Beowulf or any other ancient religion. But rather than believe in them all, it's better to determine which is more plausible if you're going to base your life on it. Your own magic book is not plausible.
You keep saying the Bible is not plausible, yet you know nothing about it to make such a judgement. Those religions you mentioned are gone with the wind just as all the other ancient religions. You know why I know they mean nothing to you, because they are not a threat to your way of living and you find Christianity threatening to the way you live, so Christianity is something in reality where those others are just blowing in the wind.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
