Sounds even more expensive..but sure, we could do that too..become, oh..idk, whats the word, partners... in some sort of north american agreement. Or even our very own north american marshal plan.
If only there were such a proposal!
In any case, the reason some of us welcome immigration is that our replacement rate is negative without them, our economy requires them to produce, they enhance our very existence through cultural transfer, and you never know where the next einstein is coming from. Other than that..can;t imagine why. The other question..as to why we should be better than other countries? Gee..IDK..I;d have to think reaaaaaal hard about that one. It;s a stumper.
