Well, write in universe if you have to...and then your answer is yes.  So..it wasnt such a poor analogy after all, now was it?

Though I have to wonder why you;d write out the theologically relevant bits of your own chosen mythology............are you not satisfied with those?

That's the thing, there weren't any theologically relevant bits in that analogy.

Jesus IS God, I don't know how many times one has to reiterate that point.

As for the rest, I changed it to have continuity with the rest of the story, whether one is doomed through sin or an asteroid matters not, doom is doom.

The asteroid analogy only works if the boss alien molded the asteroid from space metals and directed it's course towards earth. Then, when he offers to sacrifice himself he tells you "In 3 days my alien body will reassemble itself and I will be back for my groveling minions! Don't make me mold another asteroid!"
