I can see real life atheists telling you what you want to hear just to get away from you. I know hundreds of atheists in real life and I've never heard the story 'I prayed something and didn't get it and that's why I became an atheist' from even one of them.

We are not born atheists.

We are definitely not born theists.

You can't have it both ways either you have proof and don't believe in God or you tried to obtain proof and got no response.

So it's not really your experience with atheists, it's your presumptions about them.

Not to mention everytime I point out you a-hole are biblical illertates 99 out of 100 of you say you were at one point christian or at the minimum attended church. Are you telling me for those who did, none of them ever prayed? So they did if the were christians, and out of those prayer what all were answered and they fell into atheism anyway?

I was a Christian. I've prayed. Many times. Unanswered prayers are not why I'm an atheist, it does not necessarily follow that if there is a deity, it answers prayers. Maybe it has a plan and my prayers aren't in it. Maybe it's the God of deism and doesn't do prayers at all. All unanswered prayers prove is that if there's a deity, it doesn't always do what we want.

Good lord how retarded are you people? If your going to lie to me so you can preserve your snow flake status lie about your own crystal status don't try and protect the entire snow bank! Fore what works for the individual ice crystal by definition can not work for the entire bank otherwise you could not be unique and unknowable.

It's hard to respect someone who can't even conceive that I might be telling the truth about my own position if it doesn't conform to your preconceptions.

That said look at how much thought you all put into crap like this... look at how I can dissect it just off the cuff... How can you then be secure in your world view I wonder?

I can't speak for everyone, but I've put a lot of thought into what I should believe and on what basis I should believe it. If you were into ancient astronauts building the pyramids, homeopathy, mediums, or the Loch Ness monster; we could have a similar conversation. And similarly, you'd think you were 'dissecting it off the cuff'.

But kudos for arguing from 'you put too much thought into what you think!'.
