Bashing God for the Misery of Life

Ingersoll put it best.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. You're well known for believing things that aren't true.  This just becomes yet another in a long line of bullshit claims from you.

If this is a simulation, I suspect it's most likely something they do for entertainment; we're the galactic comedy hour.
How can you possibly say that's not true. at best the deepest you can go with that statement is to say that is not true for you or someone you know. I have literally spoken to thousands of you people and I promise you that statement is almost always true. One of you wants something from God gets nothing stops believing in God. Why? because you believe God grants wishes and the God of the bible does not.

Seems to me you are trying to trivialize my efforts rather than reconcile them or even address them. maybe I'm hitting too close to the way things work which puts the onus of responsibility back on you, and you do not want it, but don't know how to refute it. Besides the kill the messenger tactic.

If all of this was a joke, what is the punch line? Why spend so much time and effort to sell you nothing that benefits me in any way..

Ask yourself what product am I pushing, what church do I represent how do I get paid for any of this? Can't you of all people see the frustration when I have to explain the same thing to the same guy 18 different ways because he still does not get it??? where is the punchline there? Or is that just what an atheist sees when he wins an argument?

I can see real life atheists telling you what you want to hear just to get away from you. I know hundreds of atheists in real life and I've never heard the story 'I prayed something and didn't get it and that's why I became an atheist' from even one of them.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Can't have t both ways douche

We are not born atheists.

Either you become atheist because you do not have proof of God IE you test the waters pray for something nothing happens or you have absolute unquestionable knowledge/proof of God yet decide to not believe any way.

You people are so programmed to default to a f-ing snow flake position you don't even think how "you don't know me" messes with your "I'm a atheist" claim.

You can't have it both ways either you have proof and don't believe in God or you tried to obtain proof and got no response.

Not to mention everytime I point out you a-hole are biblical illertates 99 out of 100 of you say you were at one point christian or at the minimum attended church. Are you telling me for those who did, none of them ever prayed? So they did if the were christians, and out of those prayer what all were answered and they fell into atheism anyway?

Good lord how retarded are you people? If your going to lie to me so you can preserve your snow flake status lie about your own crystal status don't try and protect the entire snow bank! Fore what works for the individual ice crystal by definition can not work for the entire bank otherwise you could not be unique and unknowable.

That said look at how much thought you all put into crap like this... look at how I can dissect it just off the cuff... How can you then be secure in your world view I wonder?

OFC we are, but it;s trivial to say so since were born without any understanding to form a belief around in the first place.

Thats not how atheism works, hell..it;s not even how belief works.  You can test it out for yourself..right now.  Decide not to believe in god.  I'll wait.

Bashing "God" for the misery of the day seems like the perfect scapegoat. But aren't we ignoring the fact, that our existence here might not be for pleasure?

In other words; who said that we should enjoy this life? who said that we must satisfy the stereotype and live the predefined role dictated by the society?

Other organisms have it worse; I mean look at bugs, look at a roach being eaten by ants, or a spider with broken legs at your bathroom.

I wouldn't bash God, I would bash life.

Blaming god for stuff is exactly the same as blaming Darth Vader for stuff.

Now belief in god causes trouble, with the believers making all sorts of problems for us other people, including randomly blowing up and flying planes into buildings.

Its inconvenient.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

We are not born atheists.

We are definitely not born theists.

So it's not really your experience with atheists, it's your presumptions about them.

I was a Christian. I've prayed. Many times. Unanswered prayers are not why I'm an atheist, it does not necessarily follow that if there is a deity, it answers prayers. Maybe it has a plan and my prayers aren't in it. Maybe it's the God of deism and doesn't do prayers at all. All unanswered prayers prove is that if there's a deity, it doesn't always do what we want.

It's hard to respect someone who can't even conceive that I might be telling the truth about my own position if it doesn't conform to your preconceptions.

I can't speak for everyone, but I've put a lot of thought into what I should believe and on what basis I should believe it. If you were into ancient astronauts building the pyramids, homeopathy, mediums, or the Loch Ness monster; we could have a similar conversation. And similarly, you'd think you were 'dissecting it off the cuff'.

But kudos for arguing from 'you put too much thought into what you think!'.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Sometimes I felt like my prayers were answered, sometimes i didn't. It had very little to do with my eventual atheism.

I wouldn't bash God, I would bash life.

I only bash a god for suffering and pain to get a rise out of believers. There are no gods. Bashing god is only a way to attack an idea.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

Considering he should be able to plan for every detail, and supposedly did, I would blame him. If we aren't supposed to have a problem with pain and discomfort it shouldn't be unpleasant. That's kind of like if I created someone so that they hate those $2-3 Thai noodle carts you put in the microwave, then take away all other food and when they curse me, say "Why don't you learn to love them, you evil bastard!"
