Ah, I remember why I don’t post in this section too much. People put words in your mouth that you never said. I’m not dismissing what the dude said but the fact that there literally ARE kids who are being mistreated due to poor immigration laws, is worse. Again though, the media has paved the way for such comments to be accepted and even praised by some on the left.

I’m not a repub or liberal, I’m an independent.

I understand. I hope you don't think I was trying to put words in your mouth. My only point was that words hurt. No matter who says them, really.

What's happening at the border is absolutely disgusting. None of it should be happening. At the same time, since tRump decided to run for office, people in his base have gotten much, much bolder with the hate speech. Yes, we get it from both sides of the aisle, however, it can't be dismissed that it is mainly coming from the right. It's all terrible and it's all so damning. As a country, we should know better than to behave this way. Yet we have a guy sitting in office who is pretty much leading the way for others to engage like this. IOW: if it's good enough for him to say inappropriate things, then it must be good enough for his base to do it too.

I'm not saying it's right, but they seem to be getting away with it most of the time. While both sides are guilty of saying things, the tRump administration has taken things too far with this disgusting policy. People are fed up on both sides. Sadly, the members of Congress aren't fed up enough to the point of actually getting tRump out of office.

Sometimes I wonder what sort of tragedy it would actually take to wake them all up.
