They may act like scientists, but does not deal creditably with the relevant fields in science.
There is a subtle distinction between those who only practice certain crafts associated with science, and in some cases very proficiently, thus achieve creditable scientific results, and those who does not pick and chose when to practice the craft of science to get grants and when to practice the art of wishthinking when it feels comfortable.
