Tell us, why is there a need for a first cause of intelligence? I am of the opinion that intelligence is an emergent property of brains. Why would it not be so?
What makes you say that it takes a mind to create the Universe?
If you look around, the planet Earth is filled with minds, some more intelligent, some less. With that, the Universe can be said to have quite a few minds in it.
