1. No I like Arabs. There are lots of Arabs that I like. In terms of current events, I admire "Miss Iraq" for her bravery in spite of the criticism of her taking a selfie with Miss Israel. I happen to think that Sarah Idan's has a very nice skin tone. I don't see what the problem with this photograph is (indeed, there are many people in Israel who are opposed to the actions of the goverment in Gaza):
2. Arabs should be proud of the heritage. They boast many great minds. Jim Al-Khalili is contemporary Arab scientist and he does a lot of good work. I should really catch up with his series on al-Jazeera talking about the scientists of region in centuries past.
3. Can we stop using the term "Islamophobia" to refer to bigotry and racism towards individuals? People sometimes tend to conflate criticism of the Quran with racism and I don't like this. Criticizing ideas is not necessarily xenophobic. I mean, I just told you how much I like the Arabs.
