Isn't it the accepted theory that they were making him look like a European king? I read an article in Time magazine many years ago that said he should've looked like  a Galilean, since if he didn't it should have been easy to find him without asking people to identify him.

That would be around 5'5'' with dark skin and eyes and hair in tight short curls

But I guess 6'0''-6'2'' with 11% bodyfat doesn't hurt with the female Christians.
