Certainly there are segments of the community that want to see the death and destruction that the 'end times" will bring. Others are rated indifferent to the prospect. Not saying you insinuated as such. but I don't know that I'd count Atlas amoungst the shouty rabble rowers though.

Saudi Arabia wants to build a moat around Qatar

I couldn't believe at first.

Saudi state-linked news outlets reported this week that digging the so-called Salwa Marine Canal project would cost $750 million and aims to generate economic activity and tourism in the area. Other reports, from Saudi’s Al-Riyadh newspaper, suggest the kingdom would construct a military base on one part of the border, while the other portion would be used as a dumping ground for nuclear waste. The project is still awaiting official approval, according to the reports.

I'm not sure how dumping nuclear waste around Qatar would increase tourism. Are these guys from the same species as me? Saudi goverment officials are hilarious!

I'm reminded of that time they had that ex-Saudi official on al-Jazeera for an interview VS that Iranian diplomat. Saudi guy got called out on actions in Yemen and he says "Saudi Arabia supports peace and freedom in the Middle East."
