It really is that simple.
The State of Colorado is telling a guy who makes 48 cakes a year that they have a compelling state interest in deciding who he may or may not serve with bespoke products. This, after the Supreme Court has already ruled that the State of Colorado was targeting this small family-owned business out of malice for his religious beliefs. And now you all are going to tell me that, somehow the person being oppressed is the lawyer who went out of his way to set-up the baker for a second lawsuit. Please. Pick on someone your own size.
No, the state of Colorado is telling everyone who runs a business open to the public that they don't get to discriminate against protected classes. The asshole baker is just too fucking stupid to figure that out. He insists on continuing in discriminatory practices and he's going to continue to get slapped down.
While you're preaching your bigotry, Neo, please do try to remember that the Supreme court did not side with the baker, but against the commission. They weren't found wrong in their decision, but in how they reached it. Of course, the simpleton in Lakewood seems to think the Supreme Court's decision gives him carte blanche.
