Well for everyone of you sending letters, there are a lot of Christians who are sending letters in opposition to same sex marriage. Churches and other Christian organizations do things like provide mailing details of politicians and suggestions on how to word letters.
May I ask who your local MP is?
My Labor MP publicly voiced his opposition to same sex marriage in front of a crowd of GLBT teenagers and young adults protesting outside his electorate office. Considering his wife and friends support legalizing same sex marriage, I believe he is lying in order to please the sizable conservative catholic and evangelical Christians in my electorate.
Interestingly enough a couple of days later the local university campus evangelical students club went to same place and voiced their support for the MP's stance on same sex marriage. Well he is retiring at the next federal election and I would not mind voting for a Liberal if he or she was more reasonable than this MP has been.
