Q. What is it that makes everyone around go against the Anand Marga?
A. I do not know what you mean by everybody around. Yes, there are some people who are against us, but they are a handful. They are either Communists or Congressmen.

Q. In almost all the raids that have so far been conducted on Anand Marga premises, either some bombs, firearms or some human skulls have been found. Why?
A. The bombs and the firearms were planted beforehand by the CBI, this was done to implicate the Marga in some frame-up cases. So far as the human skulls are concerned, we have purchased them from the market. We need them for our sadhana (meditation).

According to Anandamurti's defected private secretary, Vishokananda, with the expansion of the Marga there sprang up five branches with specific purposes. "Vishwa Shanti Sena (VSS) was set up in 1959 to train the workers in the art of espionage and warfare, Proutist Forum of India (PFI) in 1962 to propagate the PROUT philosophy, Education Relief and Welfare Section (ERAWS) in 1964 to open schools, hospitals and dispensaries and to organize relief works, Seva Dharma Mission (SDM) in 1964 to brain-wash the workers and Proutist Bloc of India (PBI) to conduct political activities."

Yet Sarkar denied his knowledge about the existence of any wing except the ERAWS. Many of the Margis still stoutly deny that it has anything to do with politics or that it had ever engaged itself in violent revolution. Whatever Anandamurti had said was only a socio-political theory and nothing more. "There was a difference between what was said or written and what was understood," Keshavananda insists.
