Even the wealth redistribution back to the wealthy is going backwards, undoing the modern changes made and returning to older societal models.
I can think of nothing they want, socially or fiscally, that isn't in this category. They want no new changes.
Free trade. I'd say a lot of the trade policies of conservatives and many of their tax scemes are untried and new.
No, free trade as well as flat tax scheme has seen practices since the 19th century. At different times the so called conservatives has championed or abhorred free trade and flat tax schemes.
