Exactly! If people want to fill their children's heads with nonsense, let them do it on their own damn dime! I'm pretty sure that's what church, sunday school, and private schools are for...
I don't understand the school boards reasoning, no creationism should be taught in school. God doesn't come into play with core classes, it doesn't provide any material for learning other than to believe blindly, and teaching kids that aren't capable of critical thinking about god should not be tolerated. Keep religion out of schools, that simple. If they are so worried about creationism than you should have the choice of sending them to church. If I had kids, I would send my kids to SCHOOL to learn, but if I wanted my children to learn about god I would take them to CHURCH.
Last time I remember religion in school was in social studies 7th & 8th grade with the same teacher, she decided to play the Nativity Story during December for Christmas. It provided NO academic lesson whatsoever than to watch what Christians believe.
School should be comprised of Science, Math, Reading, and Social Studies (Civics); not religion.

Religion is like a Penis, you shouldn't whip it out in public and you shouldn't shove it down your child's throat.
