Mine: It's anti-intellectual. -- It discourages and disparages intellectual curiosity.
Three things, for me:
- Indoctrinating kids.
- Followers feeling entitled and compelled to force their views on others.
- The kind of "cult-like" mentality and special pleading. What I mean is the idea that a person might recognized faulty logic used by cult followers or adherents of other religions, then completely excuse the same behavior with their own religion. I remember doing this exact thing when I was Christian, and it troubled me. I knew it was problematic, but I wasn't ready to let go, and I didn't have a better answer. I largely just stopped thinking about it.
