Beating women in Islam

There is no doubt that humanity through its history faced a civil war between the both variations of humans: males and females.
It was mostly a male dominated war with men winning time after time due to their numbers and having higher muscle percentage.

But why does the Quran gives permission for men to hit their wives ? notice that I used the word "wives" and not the word "women".
The verse which gave the permission says:

(4:34) Men are the protec-tors and maintainers of women6 because Allah has made one of them excel over the other,7 and because they spend out of their possessions (to support them). Thus righteous women are obedient and guard the rights of men in their absence under Allah's protection.8 As for women of whom you fear rebellion, admonish them, and remain apart from them in beds, and beat them.9 Then if they obey you, do not seek ways to harm them. Allah is Exalted, Great.

The original Arabic word for "protectors and maintainers" is "Qawamoon قوامون", so you can google that up to make sure I didn't play or change the translation.

So it makes total sense that due to God's gifting men and males with the gift of bigger muscle index and strength and making the spending of money on the mate falling on their hands most of the time, they are the protectors and maintainers of women. Of course, even historically wars are dominated by men, and almost by 99.9999999 % husbands go to battlefields to protect their wives.

The verse then speaks about women who rebel against their husbands; and goes to define 3 levels of rebellion:

1-The first is dealt with by admonishing.
2-The second is dealt with by abandoning the wife in bed
3-The third is dealt with by beating.

But we know from this verse that to take somebody's eye out, he must take yours first as this verse says:

(5:45) And therein We had ordained for them: 'A life for a life, and an eye for an eye, and a nose for a nose, and an ear for an ear, and a tooth for a tooth, and for all wounds, like for like.4 But whosoever forgoes it by way of charity, it will be for him an expiation.5 Those who do not judge by what Allah has revealed are indeed the wrong-doers.

We must apply this verse upon ourselves too. We can't take a part of the Quran and neglect the other part.
So this should make the "wife beating" urban legend clear: it is a very fair sentence in a religion that teaches justice, an eye for an eye, but also teaches that forgoing and forgiving is a very noble thing.

There is a strong wing that uses women's misery across history to turn females into wax dolls; making $$ out of their bodies from porn industries to feminism. Fooling the masses by nude parades, while Nicola and Bart get executed for being anarchists.

Let's rise to the occasion and start to look at women as peoples; not children.

Atlass, this is not an invention of or patent held by Islam. Every religion in antiquity bar none, including Christianity, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh and Buddhism, ALL STARTED OUT IN AN AGE OF IGNORANCE, in that men confused brawn as more important than females. Girls, women in antiquity were seen as property to be bartered between families and only females of royalty were treated better, but even then, they were always second in line and only there to make the kings look good, and only there to provide the man with a male heir. 

It is why even today, you still see in India in some families the idea of pre arranged marriages. It is also why in China sexual assault of a female is even far more under reported, almost never reported in China, as compared to America, which even here is under reported.

Sexism exists in every religion in the world exists to greater or lesser degrees depending on geography, sect or individual family.
