So unlike what feminism suggests, men are not slaves to women and men deserve this degree. It's essential for the balance of the family. Please see the divorce rates in the non-Muslim western world where this verse is unknown.
So hitting women is okay if it lowers the divorce rate?
See why we believe Islam is barbarity?
No. Dealing with a woman (as a grown up intelligent being) is the okay thing, and also the most perfect thing.
This teaches you that when a woman punch you, you look at her for what she really is: a grown-up human with an independent brain that thought and chose to inflict damage first.
Beating a child is wrong, but are women children?
Women are humans. I say let's begin to treat them like that.
And don't forget that you don't have the right -ever- to beat ANYBODY unless they beat you first.

People can believe whatever they fuck they want. I judge them by what they do.
And in that, islam comes up short.... just like all the other holy horseshitters.
People can believe anything they want, I won't argue that. But it's the same people who limit me to a nationality, to borders, and force me to believe in the "domestic" propaganda. That is everything but "no compulsion". At least Islam is giving me that freedom and tells me to leave people to their own business.

It's ok for men to have the authorisation to beat women because men are supposed to protect them...from men? That's a very stupid justification. In the end, men beat women and that's the problem. I have a big problem with people who beat women and I have a big problem with people who don't beat women, but spend time trying to find excuses to for those who do. What's so complicated with don't beat women. If they don't want to do what you want them to do convince them using words and arguments. If it fails, maybe you are simply wrong and accept the fact that they don't have to obey you. Apparently that was too revolutionnary for abrahamic religions.
The "eye for an eye" verse didn't specify if the "eye taken" is male or female.
You assumed that women taking their right is banned by Islam. I wonder who convinced you with that.
Let's remove imprisonment and law-enforcement punishment of women; is that what you're suggesting?
Just like the days of old: let's build huge statues for them and worship it too.
