An unhinged mob

He told people to attack peaceful protestors?  Did he tell them to harass people at their homes, and it restaurants?   Did he encourage them to shriek at and yell at people; like a crazy person?  I'm not too concerned with before.... I'm looking at who appears more level headed now.

The people shouting are protesting the government, the right are currently the government so are the ones being protested by the left.

The right on the other hand will just kill you for protesting.

I have seen right wingers here put forward the idea that the right should be allowed to run over protestors.

I don't think that anyone was suggesting that someone can just mow into a crowd of protestors with a car.   My understanding of that was that if you are in a bad situation then you have the right to protect yourself, and get out of that situation.   If a person is injured or even killed trying to block your car and your escape from that, then it is a matter of self defense.   I would agree with that.   You go slowly, and they are not allowed to impede your progress. If they attack your car (because they are unhinged crazy people), then that justifies more haste to get out of the situation.  

I think that you need to read more than just the headlines in select articles.
