I believe the civil war already started between many wings inside the Saud clan; the most obvious encounter of that war involved "Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Saud", who died fighting in a small clash with the wing of "MBS":

But even so, MBS didn't see it right, because of greed it is obvious that whoever comes as a crown prince from the Sauds isn't able to handle another crown prince under him: remember that "MBS" was a "Crown Crown prince"; he was a double for "Mohammed bin Naief".
They are not united as they seem to be, that's their curse TBH; along with treating the population like sheep in personal farm.
