There is a big difference between "I believe in a god because such and such" and start a discussion from there "This is my copy/paste of scripture and you have to accept this as evidence".
Your bible stories no more real to me than the writings of Melville or Conan Doyle. If you want to put your scripture forward as evidence, you need to back up your claims, not just assume scripture is enough. Most of us here have read the bible, and if it wasn't convincing then it sure is not going to convince us now.
