Specifically with regard to the OP, change your system of government - or it will keep hacking up dissidents in a laughably incompetent way. Now, the US loves us some regime change..but..honestly, even if it were a phenomenally good idea (and it's not)..I don't know that we could help with that right now (and you certainly don't seem open to the notion, anyway, lol).
Changing governments anywhere in the Middle East requires immense strength, a historical revolution in every aspect. Every time the people want to revolt against an Arab dictator; western rich fucks come to his aid; some sell the dictator weapons; others provide him with mercenaries to fight off the revolt, others use the western media to clean and clear the dictator's name abroad.
That is one heavy brick to move. So you picture it as if it was "so simple", but the price to be payed in exchange of changing Arab dictators is so so big.

Life is not a mechanical process. Life is a biological process and humans keep doing the same shit over and over. That's not design. It's lack of imagination.
Biology is nothing but giving the "mechanical process" a soul.
That's why robots with artificial legs can move and look just like humans (even if for a moment or two only). If you have enough technology, the mechanical and biological are identical.
