*actually reads the damn article* So, he's apparently from Somalia and has a relative who's been convicted of Islamist terror-related charges. Are we sure this was meant to further some goal? Given that he grew up in Somalia when there was no government and it was in total anarchy (he's 30, and likely spent most of his childhood in the worst large-scale anarchy the world has seen), could he have been suffering some PTSD and flashed back to worse times?
The police are treating the attack as terror related. They believe he was radicalized. It wasn’t just a knife attack, there were gas cylinders in the back of the car which failed to explode.
