A persons level of consciousness has been observed and measured in both sleep and death. When the body or brain cease to function, we cease being awake and aware. There is no evidence of any kind of consciousness once the brain dies. We determine based on the available data, and so far, based on observation, there is no further consciousness. Does that worry you?

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
