On the flip side, there's a reasonable argument for the non-existence of the soul.
Everena: NOPE
- In order for the soul to have any utility it must interact with your physical body. Without this it would never actually be a part of you. More useless than the appendix.
Everena: NOPE, it is you fool.
- If it interacts with the physical body then it should be detectable by physical means.
- It isn't detectable by physical means.
Everena: And it is. Our bodies emit detectable energy and energy cannot be created or destroyed.
- Thus, the soul does not exist.
Everena: But it does and our consciousness and emotions are proof of it as well.
Keep shouting and calling me a fool. It makes you sound ever so much more reasonable. Scuffed your Karma again. I hope you have a good deductible.
A microwave oven emits detectable energy that cannot be created or destroyed. The piddling amount of electrochemical discharge leaking from you in any form is swamped by noise and lacking a suitable matrix to interact in. It sure as shit isn't going to heaven. There is no energy emitted by a human that can't be explained in terms of simple brain chemistry.
Consciousness and emotions can be witched off with chemicals or physical injury. Congrats, you've discovered the mind and brain.
