For me it could be very early on. If the movie title had "Saw" or "Transformers" in it, I'd be out of there quickly.
However, if the title wasn't a tip-off, and I waited through the intro material, excessive gratuitous violence or sadistic suffering would be enough to make me seek the exit.
If I didn't know the movie I'd probably not be there to begin with.
A theater full of ankle bitters is a good sign that I shouldn't be there. Or all/mostly women, no offense women.
If I'm not hooked in the first 20 minutes I'm either leaving or sleeping.
When I was single I would go to a theater, and ask for a ticket to the next feature starting. I didn't even look at the ticket. When the picture started I knew what I was going to see, at least the name. After that it was up to the company to get me to stay.
