Mostly, because to do otherwise would require acknowledging that some shitstain dictator in an islamic country murdered someone on the soil of another shitstain dictator in another islamic country...and the two decided to go bitching to their betters about the things they wanted.
Dictators murder dissidents and attempt to extort other countries. Or, you know, something something something vast conspiracy of oligarchs slinging shit at each other in the us to damage political fortunes. 50/50.
Meanwhile, in reality..there is vast bipartisan agreement, here, over the necessity of pandering to both of these shitstains because we're pretty sure that in their absence the entire region would become a wholly owned subsidiary of groups like isis and al qaeda with control over mecca and other strategically important bits of geography....a state of affairs that you and other batshit critics would likely find yourself cheering on until you inevitably realized that it was just more of the same, more killing and extortion....and then we rinse and repeat and blame the great satan all over again.
