There is no quarrel. There is simply no evidence worthy of the name that he did. Further, he is not necessary any more than a historical Odin or Osiris was necessary to the formation of those cults.
People have invented thousands of gods and I really doubt you would insist that there had to be a historical person behind them.

What you're saying is that is known as an "opinion." Everyone has them, but it's not a determining factor to determine something exists, or existed, at some point.
Opinion (according to you) There is no worthy evidence of that name.
Opinion (others) I believe because I think there is sufficient evidence.
Fact: Minimalist and others who are like-minded think there is insufficient evidence, while other people think differently and believe there is sufficient evidence.
So why is your opinion to be taken more seriously than anybody else's?
I don't know that "Odin" didn't exist in some form at some point in history. If he did, then great. If he didn't, then great. Regardless, I'm not going to go around yappin about how Odin never existed. It would be as much of a waste of time as watching paint dry on rocks I just painted in a river.
